Renault has revealed that the Duster hybrid features the brand’s E Tech system, which is derived from its expertise in Formula 1. It’s powered by a 1.8-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with two electric motors and a 1.4kWh battery pack. One of the electric motors works as a generator and produces 20bhp, while the other delivers 49bhp and powers the wheels. This setup generates a maximum power of 160bhp and 172Nm of torque.

The Renault Duster hybrid will be more powerful than the hybrid versions of the Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser. The SUV will feature a multi-mode automatic gearbox instead of an e-CVT transmission.

Honda 0 Alpha

The production-ready Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV will carry a new nameplate in India. Its final name is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, while the model might debut by the end of 2026. The new Honda electric SUV is likely to go on sale in early 2027.

The powertrain details are still under the wraps. However, the new Honda electric SUV is expected to be available with two LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery pack options, ranging between 65kWh – 75kWh.
