At this year’s Independence Day, Mahindra & Mahindra unveiled its all-new NU_IQ monocoque platform along with four SUV concepts – Vision T, Vision X, Vision S and Vision SXT. All these concept SUVs are underpinned by NU_IQ architecture and are likely to serve as the base for the Thar electric SUV, a compact SUV from the Scorpio family, the new-gen XUV 3XO and an off-road focused SUV, respectively. The production-ready model of the Vision SUV concepts will start arriving from 2027.
Besides these, the homegrown automaker also plans to update its popular Scorpio N and XUV700 SUVs in early 2026. A three-row version of the Mahindra XEV 9e is also in the pipeline. Called the Mahindra XEV 7e, this electric SUV will share design elements with both the XEV 9e and the ICE-powered XUV700.
If you’re looking for a 7-seater family car or SUV, the upcoming 2026 Mahindra XUV700 facelift and the XEV 7e will be worth checking out.

The EV is likely to offer triple screens, a two-spoke steering wheel, front powered and ventilated seats, multi-zone climate control, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, ADAS and more.
