Amid increasing competition, Hyundai Motor India has announced an aggressive long-term product strategy. Aiming to strengthen its presence, the South Korean automaker plans to launch 26 new models by 2030 including ICE, hybrids and affordable electric vehicles. Additionally, the company will introduce Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs), fuel cell technology and the Genesis luxury brand in India.
Hyundai’s top-selling model, the Creta, will also receive a new lease of life with a generational upgrade in 2027. Interestingly, the carmaker has also announced a new midsize, which will sit below the Creta and sold alongside it. Here’s a quick look at the key details of these upcoming Hyundai midsize SUVs.
New Hyundai Creta 2027

The third-generation Hyundai Creta is currently undergoing extensive testing and frequent sightings of its test mules have revealed several key details. The spied test mule clearly suggest that the new model will be longer and wider and more spacious than the current generation. The SUV will follow Hyundai’s new design philosophy and underpin the brand’s new K3 architecture.
Spy shots have also confirmed that the 2027 Hyundai Creta will mark debut of the brand’s Pleos Connect system in India. It might also get an updated ADAS suite and new trims and upholstery along with several additional features.
According to reports, the new Hyundai Creta 2027 might also be offered with a new strong hybrid powertrain. The existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, turbo petrol and diesel engines will also be carried forward.
New Hyundai Midsize SUV
Codenamed Bc4i, the new Hyundai midsize SUV is expected to be based on the Bayon compact crossover and could be offered with naturally aspirated petrol and CNG powertrain options. While the product details are still under the wraps, the model is likely to borrow several design elements from the Hyundai Bayon and Creta. Dimensionally, it could be slightly smaller than the next-gen Creta.
