Mahindra & Mahindra plans to expand its product portfolio with 16 new SUV launches between April 2026 and 2031. The upcoming range will include 10 ICE (internal combustion engine) models and six electric SUVs. Meanwhile, the homegrown automaker is gearing to launch the Mahindra Thar (3-door) facelift and the Mahindra BE 07 electric SUV by the end of 2026. Here’re the key details of these upcoming Mahindra SUVs.
2026 Mahindra Thar Facelift
The facelifted 3-door Thar will receive significant design changes and feature enhancements, inspired by the Thar Roxx. Spy images suggest that the SUV will feature a newly-designed five-slot front grille, redesigned projector headlamps and new five-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the new 2026 Mahindra Thar facelift will feature a floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity. It might also get a digital driver’s display, leatherette seat upholstery and ventilated seats. To enhance its safety quotient, Mahindra might equip the SUV with front parking sensors, a 540-degree camera and an ADAS suite.
Mechanically, the 2026 Mahindra Thar facelift will remain unchanged. The updated model will continue to be available with a 118PS, 1.5-litre diesel, a 152PS, 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 132PS, 2.2-litre diesel engine options.
Mahindra BE 07
The production-ready Mahindra BE 07 electric SUV is expected to debut in late 2026 or early 2027. Based on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, the EV is likely to share its powertrain with the BE 6, which is currently available with the 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options. Its range is expected to be between 550km-650km on a single charge.
The upcoming Mahindra BE 07 will share features with the XEV 9e and XEV 9S, including a triple screen setup. Spy images reveal that the electric SUV will feature a small dashcam with a 360-degree camera setup, allowing to record and save clips during emergency situations.
Once launched, the Mahindra BE 07 will take on the Vinfast VF7, BYD Atto 3 and Tata Harrier EV.
