Slavia Facelift Design Changes
The sedan has retained its simple and clean design, but gets some subtle tweaks to keep things fresh in the market. The changes include a revised L-shaped LED daytime running lamps, a faux carbon-fibre insert on the bottom of the grille, a revised front bumper and new LED front fog lamps with cornering function.
The side profile remains the same, except for the addition of rear disc brakes in the higher-spec 1.5L versions. Adding to it, the sedan also gets revised 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Other design highlights include powered ORVMs with integrated LED turn indicators and a sharkfin antenna. At the back, the Slavia facelift gets revised LED tail-lights with dynamic turn indicators, and these lights are connected via a faux carbon fibre trim. There is a chrome strip running across the width of the new bumper.
Skoda has also launched the Slavia Monte Carlo edition. The sedan is available in 10 exterior paint schemes, including the new Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige. Other colour choices include Shimla Green, Steel Grey, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Cherry Red, Deep Black and Lava Blue. All colours except the Deep Black and Lava Blue get dual-tone paint schemes.
Interior Changes
The 2026 Skoda Slavia retains the dual-tone black and beige interior theme, the 2-spoke steering wheel and the piano-black trims on the dashboard. The sedan gets a touch-based climate control panel and adjustable headrests for all occupants. It is packed with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument console, an updated 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and integrated google assistant.
The Slavia facelift gets first-in-segment rear massaging seats, and a single-pane sunroof. Other features include automatic climate control, a wireless phone charging pad, push-button start/stop, and cruise control.
For safety and security, the Slavia facelift gets front parking sensors, a 360-degree surround-view camera, six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-hold control (HHC) and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Engine Specifications
The Skoda Slavia facelift is available with two engine options – a 1.0L turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol. While the former is good for 115 PS and 178 Nm, the later produces 150 PS and 250 Nm.
A new 8-speed automatic gearbox replaces the 6-speed AT on the smaller 1.0-litre 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine. This new 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is likely to marginally improve fuel economy and drivability in city traffic. The bigger 1.5-litre TSI unit remains the same paired with the same 7-speed DSG for punchy performance.
What ICN Thinks
The Skoda Slavia has been a great option for buyers looking to drive home a clean and elegant sedan, which offers excellent ride and handling. With the facelift, the updated sedan has become a more appealing choice in the midsize sedan category. Adding to it, the addition of an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is likely to improve its fuel efficiency numbers.
