29kmpl Mileage, 160bhp Power – New Hybrid SUV Bookings Open


If you are planning to buy a new hybrid SUV this festive season, Renault India is all set to launch the Duster strong hybrid on October 17, 2026. Official bookings for the SUV are now open for a token sum of Rs 21,000. Interested buyers can book the hybrid SUV at authorized Renault dealerships or online via Renault India’s official website.

Mileage & Power

Renault India claims that the Duster hybrid offers an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 29kmpl. The SUV features a 1.8-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with two electric motors. One motor produces 20bhp and works as generator, while the other delivers 49bhp and drives the wheels. The hybrid system, supported by a 1.4kWh battery pack, produces a combined power of 160bhp and 172Nm of torque.

For performing transmission duties, the SUV gets a multi-mode automatic gearbox. Renault claims that the Duster hybrid can cover up to 80% of city driving in EV mode.

Most Powerful & Frugal In the Segment

Compared to the Maruti Grand Vitara, Maruti Victoris and Toyota Hyryder, the Renault Duster hybrid will offer higher power and better fuel efficiency. All three rivals feature a 1.5-litre hybrid system, consisting a petrol engine, an electric motor and a battery pack. The system uses Toyota’s TNGA or Atkinson cycle hybrid technology and produces a combined power of 116bhp and 141Nm of torque.

Similar to its petrol-powered counterpart, the Renault Duster hybrid will be equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 6-way power and ventilated front seats, auto dimming IRVM, 6-speaker Arkamys sound system, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof and dual zone climate control.

On the safety front, the hybrid SUV will offer six airbags as standard, a tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake, a 360 degree camera and Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).
