8 New Maruti SUVs Confirmed for India

Suzuki Motor Corporation has confirmed the launch of eight new SUVs (sporty utility vehicles) for the Indian market, slated to arrive over the next five years. The announcement was made by Toshihiro Suzuki, President and Director of Suzuki Motor Corporation, at the Japan Mobility Show 2025.

He stated that the company aims to regain 50% market share in India, which had declined to 38% after the pandemic due to increased competition. The Indo-Japanese automaker also plans to become India’s largest electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, while continuing to lead as the biggest car exporter.

“We are carefully bringing products and technologies to fulfil aspirations of people … from entry-level to large SUVs and MPVs,” Suzuki added.
