Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has crossed the 50,000-unit production milestone for the Škoda Kylaq. The subcompact SUV has been a key contributor for the Group’s 36% growth (YOY) in 2025. The Group has achieved this by enhancing the scale of its India operations and increasing localisation levels.

Skoda Kylaq Engine & Details
Currently, the Skoda Kylaq is available with a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine, pushing out a maximum power of 115bhp. The subcompact can be had either with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission.
Skoda claims that its manual version does 0 to 100kmph sprints in 10.5 seconds, while the automatic variant accelerates 11.69 seconds. In terms of fuel efficiency, the Skoda Kylaq offers a claimed mileage of 19.68kmpl with the manual transmission and 19.05kmpl with the automatic gearbox.
