Earlier this year, Renault announced its new product strategy, which includes launch of new models every year, starting with the third-gen Duster in 2026. With its approach, the French carmaker aims to achieve 3-5 percent market share in the next five years.
The company is set to launch the new Renault Duster on March 17, 2026, featuring a modern design language, a more premium interior and more powerful turbocharged petrol engines. Recently, the Renault Bridger concept SUV has also been making headlines following the release of its official teaser. The concept is likely to preview a sub-4m SUV that will be designed and developed in India. While the Bridger is slated to make global debut on March 10, it will take some time before hitting Indian roads.
The new Duster and Bridger concept SUV are two major Renault products set to make significant buzz over the next 10 days. Let’s take a brief look at the key details of these upcoming models.
New Renault Duster

Initially, the new Duster will be offered with 1.3L turbo and 1.0L turbo petrol engine options, delivering power worth 163bhp with 280Nm and 100bhp with 160Nm, respectively. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be standard across the lineup, while a 6-speed DCT automatic transmission will be exclusively available with the 1.3L turbo petrol variants. The Duster hybrid, powered by a 1.8L petrol-hybrid powertrain, is set to join the lineup by Diwali 2026.
Renault Bridger

The teaser reveals the concept’s boxy and upright silhouette, which appears to be inspired by the Land Rover Defender. It features uniquely designed taillamps, a tailgate mounted spare wheel and ‘Bridger Concept’ lettering. Renault hasn’t yet revealed detailed specifications; however, confirmed that the model will be an “urban” SUV and will not “compromise on space”. Reports suggest that the Renault Bridger could be positioned against the Maruti Jimny and Mahindra Thar 3-door. The SUV might share the 100bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine with the Kiger.
