Stock market today (March 11, 2026): Which are the top gainers and losers in Nifty50 and BSE Sensex? Check list

Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty ended nearly 2 per cent lower on Wednesday after a brief respite in the previous session, as a fresh surge in crude oil prices amid escalating tensions in West Asia weighed on investor sentiment. Continued foreign fund outflows and selling pressure in blue-chip banking stocks also pulled markets down, PTI reported.The 30-share BSE Sensex tumbled 1,342.27 points or 1.72 per cent to settle at 76,863.71. During the session, it had dropped 1,446.72 points or 1.84 per cent to touch 76,759.26. The 50-share NSE Nifty declined 394.75 points or 1.63 per cent to end at 23,866.85.

Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, rose 5.76 per cent to USD 92.86 per barrel, adding to concerns over inflation and external balances. According to exchange data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) offloaded equities worth Rs 4,672.64 crore on Tuesday, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) bought stocks worth Rs 6,333.26 crore.In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei 225 advanced 1.43 per cent and South Korea’s Kospi climbed 1.40 per cent, while Shanghai’s SSE Composite index ended in positive territory. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index settled lower. European markets were trading in the red, and the US market ended flat on Tuesday.In the previous session, the Sensex had risen 639.82 points or 0.82 per cent to close at 78,205.98, while the Nifty gained 233.55 points or 0.97 per cent to finish at 24,261.60.
