Ramgarh: The district has received Rs 203 crore as mining royalties to its district mineral foundation trust (DMFT) in the last fiscal, officials here said on Thursday. In the 2024-25 FY, the district had received Rs 171 crore in its DMFT fund.Officials further said the district’s mining revenue collection was Rs 1,403 crore in the last fiscal, more than the target of Rs 1,193 crore given by the state mining department.Deputy commissioner Faiz Aq Ahmed Mumtaz said, “The district has made good achievement in terms of mining revenue collection with a substantial increase of 63% as compared to the 2024-25 FY. DMFT share has also increased. The funds will be used for development works in mining affected areas.”District mining officer of Ramgarh, Nishant Abhishek said 63 FIRs were registered across the district’s police stations against illegal mining and transportation of illegally mined minerals in the last fiscal. “This apart, 107 vehicles ferrying minerals illegally were seized,” Abhishek said.
