The Samsung Galaxy A27 was the subject of several leaks over the last few weeks, and Samsung Czechia decided it was time to stop the rumor mill and listed the device on its official site.

The new device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, which replaces the Exynos 1280 and 1380 seen on its predecessors. The Snapdragon chip is paired with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage.

Up front, the A27 brings a more modern-looking punch-hole cutout for its 12MP selfie camera. The phone is equipped with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Around the back, we have a 50MP main cam with OIS, which is joined by a 5MP ultrawide module and a 2MP macro cam. The ultrawide cam is actually lower resolution than the 8MP one found on the Galaxy A26, which is a strange move. Samsung also bumped down the front-facing camera from the A26’s 13MP shooter to a 12MP unit on the A27.

In another strange move, the A27 gets IP64 ingress protection (splash resistance) while last year’s A26 was IP67-certified.

Elsewhere, the Galaxy A27 retains the 5,000mAh battery and 25W charging speeds of its predecessor. The new phone is launching with OneUI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung is pledging six Android version updates alongside six years of security patches.

Galaxy A27 comes in black, blue, light green and pink colors and will be available in 128 or 256GB storage trims. Sadly, there are no official pricing details for now, but we should be seeing those pop up in the coming days.
