Google is already teasing the Pixel 11 series, which will be unveiled on August 12. These could be the first phones to feature a chipset from TSMC’s 2nm fab and are expected to swap the Samsung modem for a MediaTek one. We’ve even seen leaked prices for the US market.

Rumors suggest that the new Pro and Pro XL will change their base configuration to 12/256GB, losing 4GB of RAM. 16GB of RAM will be available only on the 512GB variants.

That was one of the best features on the Google Pixel 10 Pro – 16GB of RAM is rare on a US flagship. You won’t get it from Samsung (unless you find a 16GB/1TB S26 Ultra) and you won’t get it from Apple either.

The vanilla Google Pixel 10 has 12GB of RAM, even though it’s not a “Pro” phone. It has the same Tensor G5 chips (3nm TSMC) and the same size screen, 6.3”, as the 10 Pro. However, this is a lower-resolution (1080p+ vs. 1280p+), non-LTPO panel. The vanilla phone also has less capable cameras than the Pro. You can also pick up an official Pixelsnap case – this one fits on both phones. It’s made of soft silicone and retains support for magnetic accessories. 42% of the case is made of recycled materials.

There’s also the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. It’s the exact same hardware as the 10 Pro except for the screen (the XL has a larger 6.8” LTPO panel) and the battery (5,200mAh vs. 4,870mAh). However, these two even out and the two phones scored essentially the same Active Use Score in our testing – 12:29h for the Pro XL and 12:06h for the Pro.

The Motorola Razr 2026 is a bit cheaper than it was last week. The phone offers a 3.6” cover and a 6.9” inner display (the latter is LTPO). It’s powered by the Dimensity 7450X and a 4,800mAh Si/C battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. There is a dual 50MP camera on the back (1/1.95” sensor for the main, 122° lens for the ultra-wide) and a single 32MP selfie inside. You can use the main camera for selfies when the phone is closed, of course.

The Razr+ model has the same small discount as last week, so let’s look at the Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 instead. Unfortunately, the discount here is pretty small as well and this model needs it the most. The Ultra upgrades to a 4” cover display and a faster 7” 165Hz inner display (both are LTPO). And it has a flagship chipset, though it’s from last year – the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It has a 5,000mAh battery with faster 68W wired and 30W wireless charging. The camera setup includes a larger 50MP sensor for the main (1/1.56”) and a 50MP selfie module inside.

With OnePlus quitting the North American market, there are now very few alternatives to Apple, Samsung, Google and Motorola. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is one such alternative – the phone has a unique style with the Glyph Matrix (dot matrix display) on its back. It has a 6.83” 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and a 5,080mAh battery with 50W wired-only charging. The camera is interesting – the 50MP (1/1.56”) main is joined by a 50MP 3.5x/80mm periscope and an 8MP ultra-wide.

While Motorola is not an alt brand, the Motorola Edge (2026) is interesting in its own right – it has a 6.3” display like the Pixel 10 (and the pricier Galaxy S26 and iPhone 17). The phone is rated IP69 and has a 7.2mm thick plastic frame with a fast-charging 5,000mAh battery inside (68W wired, 15W wireless). This one has a telephoto camera too, a 10MP 3x/73mm module to go with the 50MP main (1/1.56”) and the 50MP ultra-wide. The selfie camera also has a 50MP sensor. This phone is powered by the Dimensity 7450.
