Another day, another Google Pixel Watch 5 leak. This one focuses more on the watch’s functionality rather than its looks – if you want a peep at the latter, check out the leaked official renders, which show the watch in four colors.

The four colors are: Matte Black, Polished Silver, Satin Pyrite and Champagne Gold. Note that the watch will come in two sizes as usual, 41mm and 45mm, and for whatever reason the 45mm version will not be available in Champagne Gold. There will be a variety of interchangeable watch bands too.

On to the features. The first couple of screenshots show the blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking and atrial fibrillation detection. The next two screenshots show the sleep tracking feature.

Next up, outdoor exercise – the Pixel Watch 5 will come in Wi-Fi and LTE+Wi-Fi variants. Both will have built-in GPS to track your runs, the latter will let you leave your phone at home. For running, there will be a virtual coach to help you keep pace.

The watch will collect data and offer insights – do you get better sleep if you hit your step goal? Have your heart metrics improved? Gemini will be on board to answer any questions as part of Wear OS 7. Gemini Intelligence might launch with the Watch 5 (and it should come to older models as an update).

Google will unveil the Pixel 11 phones and the Pixel Watch 5 on August 12 and run pre-orders until around August 20 (the exact timing of the start of open sales is uncertain). We’ve seen leaked pricing for the US, the UK and Europe. Long story short, expect price hikes of around $50/€20, depending on the exact configuration.
Here’s a quick summary of the Pixel Watch 5. It will be powered by the same Snapdragon Wear W5 Gen 2 chipset as the Watch 4 and it will have the same screens (again, available in 41mm and 45mm sizes). It will come in Wi-Fi and LTE+Wi-Fi variants. Storage has been doubled to 64GB and batteries are a tad bigger (332mAh vs. 325mAh for the 41mm version and 465mAh vs. 455mAh for the 45mm version).
