The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have been released today, and there’s already a teardown video of the former available on YouTube. Undoubtedly, many more will follow, but if you’ve been very anxiously waiting to take a peek inside the new iPhone 18 Pro, here’s your first chance to do so below (beware the AI voice though).
The teardown starts with the pentalobe screws on the bottom, then heat, a suction cup, and alcohol are used to remove the display. The smaller Dynamic Island is made possible by moving the infrared camera under the display, and the pixels on top of it are different from the rest.

Apparently, the iPhone 18 Pro’s main camera is bigger than its predecessor’s, but we’re not sure if that applies to the sensor itself or just the housing – the latter is expected thanks to the addition of variable aperture. This teardown confirms that the iPhone 18 Pro has a 4,056 mAh battery, just as expected (this is a model with a physical SIM slot).
Stay tuned for our full in-depth reviews of both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
