Google’s Nano Banana 2 AI image generation model is now available in Google Earth. It can generate custom images using Google Earth’s satellite, aerial, and 3D imagery.
All you need to do is zoom in to a place in Google Earth on the web, tap “create image”, and describe what you want to see in it. Then, Nano Banana 2 will create it for you.
Google says teachers can use this to render hyper-realistic views of historic places and events, like transforming the Pompeii ruins into a bustling Roman city (as seen in the video above). You can also create custom infographics to learn about a place, create professional real estate plans, visualize projects before breaking ground, or just give your favorite place a new look solely for the fun of it.
