Today Google is giving its AI Mode the ability to track flight prices for you. This is basically the existing Google Flights feature, but brought into AI Mode in Google Search. You can set up price alerts as you chat. You can also just use AI Mode like Google Flights now, simply describing where and when you want to fly and it will show you the best options available from over 300 partner airlines and travel sites.
You can then build your itinerary in AI Mode and buy your tickets through the airline’s website or another booking platform. AI Mode will even search based on miles if you have some and want to spend them instead of cash.
But wait, AI Mode can even book a hotel for you. Just tell it where you want to go, and it will give you a list of options with photos, guest reviews, and prices. When you find your match, ask AI Mode to help you complete the booking and you’ll get a way to directly book through Google right alongside integrated partners like hotel chains and online travel sites. Then you pick your room type, review details, and pay via Google Pay.
Flight tracking is available in more than 180 countries and territories across the globe. Viewing points and miles rates is now globally available. Hotel booking is currently rolling out in the US in English and will be “available over the coming weeks”, Google says.
