Samsung started rolling out the One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra yesterday (the S26 FE came with One UI 9 out of the box). However, the global press release doesn’t really mention older devices – there is a note about which models will get the Privacy Alerts feature, but nothing on when the actual update might arrive.
Luckily, Samsung Thailand was more forthcoming with details on the timeline – the Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z7 foldables will get One UI 9 on September 28.

The press release also says this: “The update will continue to reach the Galaxy S23 FE by October of this year.” The Galaxy S23 FE was only promised 4 major OS updates when it launched with Android 13, so this should be its last one. The same applies to the other Galaxy S23 models, though they weren’t mentioned by name in the press release.
The Galaxy S22 series already got its last major update (Android 16/One UI 8), but it is still receiving quarterly security patches.
