Škoda Auto India has sold over 50,000 units of the Kylaq subcompact since its launch in the country. It’s currently the brand’s top volume generator, favoured for its driving dynamics, safety, tech and value packaging. The Skoda Kylaq lineup is priced between Rs 7.59 lakh – Rs 12.99 lakh (all, ex-showroom).

Engine & Performance

For power, the Skoda Kylaq uses a 1.0L, three-cylinder TSI petrol engine, delivering a healthy power of 115bhp and 178Nm of torque. This turbocharged and direct injection motor is offered with two gearbox options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. Skoda claims that the Kylaq can do from 0 to 100kmph in 10.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest compact SUVs currently on sale in India.

Safety Features

Based on the MQB-A0 IN platform, the Skoda Kylaq has achieved a full 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP crash test. The SUV scored 30.88 points out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 45 points out of 49 for child occupant protection. Its standard safety kit includes six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, an electronic differential lock and Isofix child seat anchorages.

The lineup is available in six colour options – Lava Blue, Carbon Steel, Brillant Silver, Olive Gold, Candy White and Deep Black.
