Hero MotoCorp posts record profit on strong sales and EV growth


The country’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp Tuesday reported an increase of 30% to post record profit of Rs 1,401 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026 driven by healthy growth in sales.

The company had posted net profit of Rs 1,081 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

Revenue from operations last quarter stood at a high of Rs. 12,797 crore, which is an increase of 29% compared to Rs 9,939 crore recorded in the year-ago period. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 31% to Rs 1,856 crore in Q4FY26.

The company sold 17.14 lakh motorcycles and scooters last quarter, which is an increase of 24% over the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

For the entire financial year, Hero MotoCorp’s net profit grew 14% to Rs 5,268 crore. Revenues from operations went up 15% to Rs 46,830 crore. This is the highest-ever net profit and revenues from operations reported by the company in a year.


EBITDA stood at Rs 6,871 crore – a growth of 17%. The company grew volumes by 10% to sell 64.69 lakh two-wheelers last fiscal. EBITDA margin for the year stood at 14.7%, reflecting an improvement of 30 basis points (bps) in comparison to previous year; driven by favorable product mix and cost efficiencies.

This growth was broad-based, driven by a strong premium and EV product portfolio and momentum across both, domestic and global markets.”During the year, Hero MotoCorp said it expanded its market share across key segments. Growth was broad-based across 100cc -125cc, scooters and premium motorcycle segments. The EV business posted 190% growth in retails.

The company said its global business grew by 40% driven by consistent performance across key international markets. Hero MotoCorp expanded its global footprint to 52 countries with new market entries in Europe and the United Kingdom (UK). The Harley-Davidson business delivered 26% year-on-year growth in its dispatch volume.

“As we look ahead, we are encouraged by the supportive government policies, positive consumer loyalty and sentiment, and the accelerating shift towards electrification and premiumisation. These factors position us well for FY’27, as we continue to lead the industry’s transition towards sustainable and innovative mobility solutions”, Chitale added.

The company declared a final dividend of Rs. 75 per equity share. Including the interim dividend of Rs 110 per share, the total dividend for FY 2025–26 amounts to Rs 185 per equity share, representing a payout of 9250%.
