Honda has announced an ambitious plan for the Indian market that includes 10 new product launches by 2030. The Japanese automaker has a strong focus on the SUV segment with seven new models in the pipeline along with select global products and electric vehicle (EV) launches. In 2026, Honda Cars India will give midlife updates two of its popular models – the City sedan and the Elevate SUV. Both facelifts are expected to arrive in the second half of 2026.
Here’s what we can expect from the new 2026 Honda City and Elevate facelifts.
New 2026 Honda City Facelift
The Honda City is currently in its fifth-generation, and ready to receive its second midlife update in 2026. In the midsize sedan segment, it will continue to take on the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus. The updated model is expected to derive design elements from the global Honda SUVs and new Civic. It might feature a newly-designed grille, revised front and rear bumpers, redesigned LED headlamps and new LED taillamps.
Minimal changes are expected inside the cabin as well. Mechanically, the new 2026 Honda City facelift is likely to retain the existing 119bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated engine along with the e:HEV powertrain option.

New 2026 Honda Elevate Facelift
First launched in 2023, the Honda Elevate is set to receive its first facelift next year. While official details are not available at the moment, the updated version is likely to witness subtle design changes at the front and rear ends. Inside, the SUV might receive additional features, while retaining the cabin layout.
Under the hood, the new 2026 Honda Elevate facelift will feature the same 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 121bhp and 145Nm of torque. Both 6-speed manual and 7-speed CVT automatic gearboxes will also be carried forward. No changes are expected to its dimensions; however, Honda might introduce new exterior colour options.
