Honda has introduced its flagship offering in the Indian market – the ZR-V. Imported as a CBU (completely built-up unit), the SUV is available in a single fully-loaded variant, priced at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s Honda’s first hybrid SUV in India, challenging the Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.
Hybrid Powertrain, Mileage & More
The biggest highlight of the Honda ZR-V is its strong hybrid powertrain, consisting a 2.0L, four-cylinder direct injection petrol engine paired with two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors. This setup delivers a combined power of 184bhp and 315Nm of torque.
Transmission duties are performed by an e-CVT gearbox. The SUV comes with the FWD (front-wheel drive) system. The ZR-V accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 7.9 seconds and offers a top speed of 172kmph. With a strong hybrid powertrain, the ZR-V returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.8kmpl.
Dimensions & Colour Options
Dimensionally, the new Honda hybrid SUV measures 4,567mm in length, 1,840mm in width and 1,621mm in height while riding on a wheelbase of 2,655mm. The SUV offers a generous boot space of up to 1,313mm with third-row seats folded. Buyers have four exterior colour choices – Platinum White Pearl, Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.
Design Highlights
Visually, the Honda ZR-V looks sporty and offers a commanding road presence. The front facia features a wide grille with vertical slats and Honda logo at the centre, slim LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs, functional air vents on the bumper, a trapezoidal air intake with a mesh pattern and a sculpted bonnet.
Other design highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels, pronounced coloured cladding on the wheel arches, gloss black cladding, flush-type roof rails, a roof-mounted spoiler, a wide horizontal LED taillamps and dual exhaust finishers.
