Honda ZR-V Hybrid SUV Unveiled


The Honda ZR-V hybrid SUV has finally made its India debut alongside the City facelift’s launch. It will be brought via CBU (completely built unit) route, and positioned against the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq Lounge. Interested buyers can pre-book the SUV, while deliveries will begin in July 2026. However, its launch date is yet to be announced.

The India-spec model looks exactly identical to its global counterpart, and offers the same set of features, components and powertrain options.

Hybrid Power

For power, the Honda ZR-V uses a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder Atkinson petrol hybrid engine, which generates a combined output of 180bhp and 315Nm of torque. Transmission duties are performed by an eCVT single-speed gearbox.

The SUV is available with both FWD (front-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) configurations. With hybrid powertrain, the SUV delivers a fuel consumption of 5.7 to 5.8-litre/100km (approx. 17-18kmpl). It can accelerate 0 to 100kmph in 8 seconds.

Design Highlights

Upfront, the Honda ZR-V features an aggressive-looking grille with Honda logo at the centre, sharply designed LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs, and a sculpted bonnet. Similar to the global-spec model, the India-bound model also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, gloss black cladding, flush-type roof rails, a wide horizontal LED taillamps and dual exhaust finishers.

The ZR-V measures 4,567 units in length, 1,840mm in width and 1,621mm in height with a wheelbase 2,665mm. The SUV offers a boot space of up to 1,313mm with folded third-row of seats.

Inside the cabin, the Honda ZR-V offers a dual-tone theme with a layered dashboard design. Taking centre stage is a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Other key features include 10.2-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, six airbags, a powered tailgate, 8 airbags, Level 2 ADAS and more.
