Amid increasing competition in the midsize SUV segment, Hyundai Motor India has decided to introduce a major feature upgrade for the Creta in the coming days. The update will be rolled out in the form of 2026 Hyundai Creta Summer Edition across lower and mid-spec variants. Aiming to enhance its value proposition, the carmaker will offer premium features on select variants, which are currently reserved for the higher trims including SX, SX (O) and SX Premium.

What’s New for Top Trims?
The 2026 Hyundai Creta Summer Edition SX will receive a larger 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a dashcam, while the SX Premium will get a blind view monitor, a surround view monitor and front parking assist system along with a 10.25-inch instrument console.
Other key features will include an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system, front ventilated seats, 10.25-inch (audio, video, navigation and telematics) screen and R17 diamond cut alloy wheels.
With the Summer Edition update, the Creta S (O) and S (O) Knight Edition will also be offered with a dashcam, along with 1.5L petrol and diesel engine options. Transmission choices will include a manual, an iVT and an automatic unit.
Several Updates For Lower Variants
The 2026 Hyundai Creta Summer Edition EX (O) trim will boast with features such as LED headlamps, LED DRLs and positioning lamp, LED taillamps, rear window sunshades, smart key with push button start, rear camera and R16 styled wheels. This variant will be available with 1.5L petrol and diesel engines along with two gearbox options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
The Creta EX Summer Edition will be offered with a smart key with push button start. It will be available with the 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.5L diesel engine options, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Next-Gen Creta Planned For 2027
The Hyundai Creta is set to receive a generational update in 2027. The SUV is likely to come with comprehensive cosmetic changes along with enhanced feature and technology and a new strong hybrid powertrain.
