Hyundai has confirmed 26 new product launches for the Indian market by 2030, including the brand’s entry in the all-new segments. The carmaker has confirmed an off-road SUV that will be a ‘muscular’ monocoque SUV with serious ‘off-road capabilities’, arriving by 2030.  At the 2026 New York International Auto Show, the Hyundai Boulder concept previewed the brand’s first body-on-frame architecture.

In the recent development, the South Korean automaker has patented the Boulder SUV in India hinting at its potential future arrival. However, Hyundai has revealed that the off-roader will be designed and developed for the US market. It’s important to note that an official confirmation on its India launch is still awaited.

Hyundai Boulder – Design, Interior & Powertrain

The all-new Boulder off-road SUV carries Hyundai’s ‘Art of Steel’ design language along with a boxy and muscular stance. The front fascia looks quite aggressive featuring a grille with two rows of small openings, vertically stacked LED headlamps, DRLs with the letter ‘H’ in Morse code, fenders and a bold bumper with tow hooks.

Moving towards the sides, the new Hyundai off-road SUV sports 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tyres, functional side steps, suicide doors, roof rack and LED lighting elements. At the rear, it gets a full-size spare wheel mounted on the tailgate, a double-hinged tailgate and electrically operated rear windscreen. The showcased concept was painted in Liquid Titanium colour scheme.

Inside the cabin, the Hyundai Boulder offers a beige-and-black theme along with a dual-tone three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls. The SUV also has a head-up display (HUD) unit running across the length of the windshield and a centre console with four screens and dedicated off-road controls. Furthermore, the new Hyundai off-road SUV comes equipped with a software-driven real-time off-road guidance system, which Hyundai describes as a ‘digital spotter’.

Powertrain details are still under the wraps. However, the Boulder SUV is expected to be offered with multiple powertrain options. It will be equipped with an independent suspension system, differential locking and an AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
