We’ve already heard from past rumors that the iPhone 18 Pro Max is set to have the biggest battery ever seen in a non-folding iPhone. Now a new leak purports to give us the exact numbers.
And we say numbers because there will be two of them. Like last year, the version of the phone that will be eSIM-only will have a bigger battery – 5,425 mAh in this case – than the one with a physical SIM slot. That one will have a 5,235 mAh battery.

That is, of course, if this is accurate, and that’s a pretty big if. The funny thing is that iPhones were never known for their battery sizes, but if this pans out then the iPhone 18 Pro Max will have a bigger battery than the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra‘s 5,000 mAh cell.
For reference, note that the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a physical SIM slot has a 4,823 mAh battery, while the eSIM-only version has a 5,088 mAh battery. So we’re looking at an increase of a whopping 412 mAh for the model with a physical SIM, and an extra 337 mAh for the eSIM-only version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max compared to its predecessor.
