NEW DELHI: A mysterious explosion was reported at a residence in Halliyur village, Alur taluk of Hassan district, Karnataka on Monday night. A couple sustained critical injuries in the incident and was immediately shifted to Hassan District Hospital for treatment. The cause of the blast remains unknown; police and forensic teams are expected to investigate.The family claims that it is a cylinder blast, however cops have found some metal items at the spot.(With agency inputs)
