Mahindra’s INGLO platform based electric SUVs, including the XEV 9E, XEV 9S and BE 6, have proven to be capable offerings in the premium EV segment. Aiming to maintain its EV sales momentum, the indigenous automaker is gearing up to launch the new Mahindra BE 07 sometime in 2027. The electric SUV is currently undergoing testing, and has now been caught on camera for the very first time.
Interior & Features
The fresh spy shots give a glimpse of its interior, featuring a triple screen setup similar to the XEV 9e. The latter gets three 12.3-inch displays including a centre touchscreen infotainment system, a driver’s display and a front passenger display. The Mahindra BE 07 also has a visible dashcam display on the windscreen, a two-spoke steering wheel with Mahindra’s signature logo and ambient lighting.
Other expected features will include dual zone automatic climate control, HUD (Head-Up Display), wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a large panoramic sunroof, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, Level 2 ADAS and more.
Dimensions & Design
Similar to the concept, the production-ready Mahindra BE 07 is expected to measure 4,565mm in length, 1,900mm in width and 1,660mm in height. It might sit on a 2,775mm long wheelbase.
The electric SUV will feature a closed-off grille, sharply designed LED projector headlamps with C-shaped LED DRLs, LED fog lamps and a sporty bumper with sleek air vents at the front end. Other design highlights will include aero-optimized alloy wheels, flush-type door handles, a short rear windshield, a large tailgate and vertically positioned LED taillamps.
Battery Options
The Mahindra BE 07 is expected to share its powertrain with the BE6, which is currently available with 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options. However, compared to the BE6, the BE 07 could be slightly lower range due to its larger proportions and higher kerb weight.
Competition
Once launched, the new Mahindra electric SUV will take on the Tata Harrier EV, BYD Atto 3 and Vinfast VF7.
