INDORE: The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) allocated approximately 200 plots to beneficiaries of the land pooling scheme at Sector 7 in Pithampur, Indore. This allocation comprised 196 residential plots and four commercial plots this week.The allotments were made for land parcels registered between January 1, 2023, and September 1, 2023, through an online lottery to landowners. “We have allotted a total of 200 plots to landowners. This included 196 residential plots and four commercial plots. The approximate value of the properties allotted to landowners this week was more than Rs 21 crore. The allotment process to landowners is currently underway, and the next phase of allotment is scheduled for August 22 at the MPIDC office,” said Himanshu Prajapati, Executive Director, MPIDC, Ujjain.The proposed industrial belt Sector 7 in Pithampur is being developed on over 2,000 hectares, with a significant portion, roughly 1,351 hectares, to be acquired from private landowners. The estimated development cost of the project is approximately Rs 2,400 crore.Under the land pooling scheme of the state govt, the compensation amount accounts for double the collector’s guideline rate. The govt pays 20 percent of the compensation amount in cash, while the remaining 80 percent is provided in the form of developed residential or commercial plots. So far, the Industries Department has allocated over 200 hectares to industries in the underdeveloped industrial area and is seeking more consents from landowners.“We are endeavouring to secure fresh consents from landowners for developing the proposed Sector 7. Many farmers are coming forward to give their land, but for those who have some doubts, we are clearing their confusion,” the official said.According to MPIDC, the registration of approximately 450 hectares from landowners is complete, with an additional 150 hectares in the pipeline.
