The new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift has been on test for quite some time now. Frequent sightings of test mules hint that its launch could be just around the corner. Multiple spy images and videos have also revealed several intriguing details. While the updated SUV is likely to receive subtle design changes and feature upgrades, the introduction of a turbo-petrol engine and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) could be its major highlights.

ADAS Safety Features
One of its test mules was spotted with a radar housing positioned in the centre of the front grille, which suggests presence of an ADAS suite. Most of its arch rivals including the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO already offer ADAS safety features. With this upgrade, the new Maruti Brezza 2026 will further strengthen its position in the highly competitive subcompact SUV segment.

Turbo Power
The second biggest upgrade could be the addition of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx’s 1.0L, three-cylinder Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine. This motor delivers a maximum power of 100PS and 147.6Nm of torque, and is likely to be available in select variants. The smaller turbo-petrol engine will make these variants qualify for the lower 18 percent GST slab, applicable to sub-4m petrol cars powered by engines smaller than 1.2L.
Underbody CNG Tank
The new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift could also be offered with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. The existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine and factory-fitted CNG fuel option will also continue to be on offer. However, the CNG version is expected to get an underbody tank configuration, which will create additional boot space.
Other Key Highlights
While official design and feature details will be revealed closer to its launch, the new Maruti Brezza 2026 facelift is expected to come with a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a Head-Up Display (HUD), a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera and new seat upholstery and trims.
Minor Price Hike Expected
The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is likely to see a minimal price hike. In the subcompact SUV segment, it will continue to take on the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kylaq.
