New 2026 Tata Punch Teased Ahead of 13th January Launch


Tata Motors has dropped the first teaser of the upcoming Punch facelift, revealing its key design changes. It also confirms that the new 2026 Tata Punch facelift will go on sale in India on 13th January. In the compact crossover segment, the updated version will continue to take on the Hyundai Exter and Maruti Fronx along with affordable sub-4 metre SUVs – the Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.

What has the teaser revealed?

The teaser video shows a significantly revised front fascia, featuring a slimmer grille, redesigned vertically-stacked headlamps with new DRLs, a more pronounced faux silver skid plate and larger air dams.

The side profile is likely to remain largely unchanged, expect for the newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the new Tata Punch 2026 will sport a connected taillamps similar to those seen on the Altroz hatchback. Tata Motors will also introduce the updated model in a new Blue colour scheme.

What more to expect?

While official interior details are yet to be revealed, the new 2026 Tata Punch facelift is likely to several feature upgrades. These could include an updated touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a new two-spoke steering wheel, ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker music system, 6 airbags as standard and blind spot monitor.

Under the hood

The new 2026 Tata Punch facelift is expected to be offered with the existing 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and two gearbox options – a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The petrol unit produces a maximum power of 87bhp and 115Nm of torque. The CNG will also remain on offer.

Minimal Price Hike

Currently, the Tata Punch lineup is available within the price range of Rs 5.50 lakh – Rs 9.30 lakh (all, ex-showroom). With subtle design and feature upgrades, the facelifted model is likely to witness a price hike of up to Rs 50,000.
