We have a fair idea of what Apple’s first folding iPhone – rumored to be called iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra – will look like, courtesy of previously leaked CAD schematics, case renders, and images of dummy units. But new pictures of the iPhone Ultra’s dummy unit, which have surfaced online, give us our best look yet at the first folding iPhone.
These images – shared by Sonny Dickson – show the iPhone Ultra’s dummy unit in folded and unfolded states, from the front and rear, in white. Dickson says it could be the only color option Apple will offer, which we have heard before. And if Apple decides to offer multiple color options, the second color could be gray/black.
Circling back to the new dummy unit images, you can see the iPhone Ultra’s folding screen has a selfie camera in the top-left corner. The dual rear cameras are arranged horizontally, with the camera island housing an LED flash and a microphone as well. The volume buttons are located at the top.
The iPhone Ultra won’t feature an Action Button, and rumors claim the smartphone will rely on Touch ID instead of Face ID for biometric authentication.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone Ultra alongside the iPhone 18 series later this year.
