Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to introduce an all-new SUV in December, 2026. While the carmaker hasn’t yet revealed its name and details, the upcoming model is likely to be the production-ready version of the Mahindra Vision S concept, which was unveiled in August 2025.

Interestingly, the Vision S will be the brand’s first production model to be based on NU_IQ monocoque modular platform, which supports multiple powertrains including ICE (internal combustion engine), hybrid and electric.
Design Highlights

Spy images reveal that the production-ready Vision S will retain the concept’s boxy design and upright stance. At the front, the SUV will feature a new six-slot grille with three horizontal slats, circular projector headlamps similar to the Thar Roxx, a sporty front bumper and a wide lower air dam.
The side profile looks rugged with dual-tone alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, pronounced wheel arches and flush-fitting door handles. At the rear, the SUV will get vertically stacked LED taillamps connected by an LED light strip running across the tailgate along with a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.
Interior & Features
Several practical changes are expected in the production version’s cabin. The Mahindra Vision S is likely to feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system similar to the one in the Thar Roxx, a binnacle-mounted digital driver’s display, a two-spoke steering wheel inspired by the XUV 7XO and a redesigned dashboard.
Mahindra might also equip the Vision S with features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, multiple airbags, an engine start-stop button and more.
Multiple Powertrain Options
Mahindra has not yet revealed the engine specifications of the upcoming SUV. However, it’s expected to come with 1.5-litre turbo petrol and diesel engine options. An all-electric version could also join the lineup at a later stage.
Expected Price & Competition
The Mahinda Vision S is expected to be priced around Rs 10.50 lakh for the base variant, and nearly Rs 15 lakh for the top-end trim (ex-showroom). Once launched, this new Mahindra SUV will compete with the upcoming Tata Scarlet and Renault Bridger, both of which are expected to arrive in 2027.
