First launched in 2022, the Toyota Innova Hycross is admired for its comfort quotient, practicality, hybrid tech, and, of-course the brand’s reliability. Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s product lifecycle strategy typically includes a midlife update after 4-5 years and a full generational change after 8-10 years. The Innova Hycross is now approaching its first major midlife update, which is expected to take place in late 2026 or early 2027. However, there is no official word on the new 2026 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift launch timeline.
2026 Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift – What to Expect?
Details about the updated Innova Hycross are currently limited. However, the MPV is expected to receive subtle design changes and feature upgrades, while retaining its existing powertrain options. It could get a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster.
Most features will be carried forward from the existing model including a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, quilted leather seats, 9-speaer JBL sound system, dual zone climate control, 6-speaker audio system, a 36-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability control, hill hold assist, and Level 2 ADAS (autonomous driving assistance system).
Underpinning a monocoque platform, the new 2026 Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to feature the existing 172bhp, 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol and 184bhp, 2.0L strong hybrid powertrains. The NA petrol variant comes with a CVT automatic gearbox, while the hybrid version is available with an e-Drive transmission.
The variant lineup is likely to remain unchanged, which includes five trims – G, GX, VX, ZX and ZX (O). The current model is available within the price range of Rs 18.33 lakh – 31.30 lakh, and the facelifted version is expected to witness a minor price hike. When launched, the new Toyota Innova Hycross 2026 will continue to take on the Kia Carnival, Mahindra XUV 7XO, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus.
