New TVS Electric Scooter (M1-S) Coming on 4th Nov

TVS Motor Company is all set to launch a new electric scooter – the M1-S. This scooter is already on sale in select global markets under the ION Mobility – a Singapore-based technology and automotive startup. In new markets, it will be introduced as the TVS M1-S, with its global debut scheduled for 4th November at the 2025 EICMA show in Milan.

Is It Coming to India?

As of now, there is no official word on its India launch, and it’s highly unlikely that the TVS M1-S electric scooter will make its way here. TVS currently offers three electric scooters in India – the iQube, the newly-launched Orbiter and the TVS X.

TVS & ION Mobility Collaboration

In early 2023, TVS Motor Company became a strategic investor in ION Mobility, helping the startup to expand operations in Singapore and Indonesia. The investment was increased nearly US$5.5m in 2024, turning the collaboration into a strategic partnership focused on engineering collaboration and market access.

Later both companies jointly worked on EV two-wheelers projects for the Southeast Asian markets. However, TVS Motor (Singapore) sold its stake back, and acquired certain “identified assets” from ION Mobility. These assets include technology, intellectual property and key personnel, which have now been integrated into TVS to support its EV expansion in Southeast Asia.
