New Platform & Design Language

One of the major changes will be made to its architecture. The next-gen Nexon will be based on the all-new platform, which could be the heavily modified version of the existing X1 architecture. This platform supports multiple body styles and advanced technologies. Comprehensive changes are also expected inside and out. The new 2026 Tata Nexon will feature the brand’s new design language and might borrow design elements from the company’s latest offerings.

Future of Diesel Engine In Doubts

The engine setup might remain unchanged. The new 2026 Tata Nexon is expected to be offered with the existing 1.2L turbo petrol engine, generating power worth 120PS and 170Nm of torque. However, there is no clarity whether the 1.5L diesel engine will be carry forward to the next-generation, due the upcoming BS7 emission norms. The CNG fuel option will continue to be on offer.

Price Hike On the Cards

Considering the significant cosmetic changes, feature enhancements and mechanical upgrades, the new 2026 Tata Nexon is expected to witness a decent price hike. The current-generation model is available within the price range of Rs 7.32 lakh – Rs 14.15 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Prices of the all-new Nexon are likely to start around Rs 8 lakh for the base variant and go up to Rs 17 lakh for the fully-loaded top variant.
