Nissan India has confirmed that it will launch the Gravite, a three-row, sub-4 metre family car, on 17th February 2026. Earlier, it was scheduled to hit the roads on 21st January. The upcoming Nissan Gravite will be based on the Renault Triber, sharing its platform, powertrain and features with its donor model. However, it will feature Nissan’s familiar design language and look different from the Triber.
Competition & Expected Prices
When launched, the Gravite MPV will take directly on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga along with its own donor model – the Renault Triber. Positioned as an affordable family commuter, the Gravite is expected to price around 6 lakh for the base variant and nearly Rs 9 lakh for the top-end version.
Nissan’s Familiar Design
The upcoming Nissan Gravite will underpin the CMF-A architecture, sourced from the Triber. Official teasers confirm that the MPV will feature a newly-designed grille with inverted L-shaped DRLs (daytime running lights) and a sporty bumper with silver inserts on the front fascia. The alloy wheels will also look different from the Renault Triber. At the back, the new Nissan MPV will sport redesigned taillamps with ‘Gravite’ badging and a chrome bar in the centre. The rear bumper will have silver C-shaped inserts.
Interior & Features
The cabin layout and features are expected to be similar to the Renault Triber. This means, we can expect it to come with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, a cooled lower glove box, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, driver’s seat height adjust, auto-fold ORVMs, and several others.
NA Petrol Engine
As far as the engine is concerned, the Nissan Gravite is likely to share the 1.0L, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine from the Renault Triber. This engine generates power worth 72bhp and 96Nm of torque. However, there is a possibility Nissan might retune this engine for achieving improved power and performance.
