We’ve heard plenty about the OnePlus 16 through leaks and rumors, but the company has remained quiet about the upcoming flagship until now. OnePlus has officially teased the phone’s launch in China and confirmed some of its key specifications.
In a post on Weibo, the company teased the launch of the OnePlus 16, saying that the phone is coming soon. A recent leak suggested that the flagship could be unveiled in October.
OnePlus has confirmed that the phone will run Android 17 based ColorOS 17. The company also revealed that the OnePlus 16 will support a system-wide 165Hz refresh rate, aligning with earlier rumors that claimed the phone would feature a 165Hz display.
However, a more recent leak claimed that the OnePlus 16 could feature an even higher 185Hz AMOLED panel.
Additionally, a new OnePlus device believed to be the OnePlus 16 was recently spotted on China’s 3C certification website. The listing suggests that the handset will support 100W wired charging.
The OnePlus 16 is rumored to feature a 200MP primary rear camera, the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, and a 9,000mAh battery.
