Upcoming Midsize SUVs in India
Renault Duster

The new-generation Renault Duster will go on sale in India on March 17, with deliveries promised from April, 2026. Compared to its predecessor, the all-new model appears more mature and modern, offering a more premium interior, advanced tech and powerful engines. However, it misses out on AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The engine setup includes 1.0L and 1.3L turbo petrol, generating power worth 100PS and 163PS, respectively.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift

The new Skoda Kushaq 2026 facelift is set to launch in March. The SUV comes with slightly improved styling and a more premium interior along with a new 8-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The new transmission will be exclusively offered with a 115bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine. The 150bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine continues to be available.
Nissan Tekton

The Nissan Tekton is essentially a rebadged version of the new Renault Duster, featuring a different design language. Its platform, interior, features and powertrain will be borrowed from the Duster. While its official launch date has yet to be announced, the SUV is expected to hit showrooms by June 2026. Official teasers reveal that the Tekton will feature LED headlamps with a connected LED DRL, connected LED taillamps and Tekton branding on the bonnet and tailgate.
Volkswagen Taigun Facelift

The 2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift is likely to receive subtle design changes and a few new features, while retaining the existing engine options. Most of its design updates will be inspired by the Volkswagen ID 4 electric SUV. Similar to the updated Kushaq, the new Taigun is expected to come with new digital driver’s display, updated infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof and rear seats with a massage function.
