The Kia Sorento is finally on sale in India. The South Korean automaker has launched the Sorento SUV lineup in seven trim levels – HTE, THE (O), HTK, HTK (A), HTX, HTX (A) and Black-line – with prices starting at Rs 27,99,000. The mentioned price is introductory and ex-showroom. At this price point, the new Kia 7-seater SUV goes against the Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tayron, Jeep Meridian and Toyota Fortuner.

Kia Sorento Engine & Gearbox
Initially, the Sorento is offered with only a 2.2-litre diesel engine, paired with an 8-speed DCT automatic gearbox. This engine produces a maximum power of 119PS and 442Nm of torque. The Kia Sorento hybrid features a 1.6-litre petrol hybrid powertrain. The hybrid setup is available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options are available.
Colour Options
Kia is offering the new 7-seater SUV in eight colour options: Ivory Silver Gloss, Matte Graphite, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Red, Imperial Blue, Glacier White Pearl and Gravity Grey.
Dimensions & Seating Options
The new Kia 7-seater SUV measures 4,815mm in length, and comes in both 6 and 7-seat configuration options, depending on the variant. The 6-seater version offers captain chairs in the second row, whereas the 7-seater variant features a 60:40 split-folding three-seat bench in the middle row and 50:50 split-folding seats in the third row. For easier access to the third row, the SUV gets a one-touch slide-and-fold function.
