RayNeo unveils productivity-focused iO glasses and multimedia-focused GT glasses

RayNeo, one of the top AR smart glasses companies out there (with 23.7% market share, based on Counterpoint data for Q1 2026), unveiled two new product lines – the iO and the GT series. The former focuses on “glanceable” ambient intelligence, the latter is all-in on multimedia (games and movies).

The RayNeo iO Smart Glasses have a lightweight build for all-day wear. They weigh 33g and have an even 50:50 weight distribution between the front and the back. The frames are made of AZ91D magnesium-aluminum alloy, while the temples are made of aerospace-grade titanium.

The iO uses a monochrome (green) waveguide display with the Firefly Nano Engine. The Blue Lake waveguide achieves 97% transparency and what it shows you remains invisible to others.

The display renders crisp text with up to 1,300 nits of brightness. The display can be used as a teleprompter if you are delivering a speech or it can do live translation across 55 global languages (and 109 accents) with around 1 second latency.

There is a 4-mic array that allows the glasses to listen to you and others with a bone conduction sensor to pick up your voice clearly even in a noisy environment for voice dictation. The low-power Ambient AI Life Log captures schedules and conversation contexts and will prompt you to add things to your calendar.

The glasses have AI integration and come with RayNeo AI and Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite by default. Optionally, you can use the companion app to switch between Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude and DeepSeek.

The glasses have a 240mAh battery, which promises up to 2 days of regular use on a single charge. This includes 18 hours of recording audio or 6.2 hours of continuous translation. The glasses are rated IP54 and have a hardwired LED to notify others when they are recording or translating.

The RayNeo iO Smart Glasses support basic motion gestures (e.g. you can nod to accept a prompt) and a Smart Crown rotary dial. Note that there are no speakers on board, these use a purely text UI.

There are two multimedia glasses – the RayNeo GT and GT Max. Both of these offer full-color microOLED displays and quad speakers co-tuned by Bang & Olufsen for immersive audio.

The RayNeo GT creates a virtual display 231” in size – this corresponds to 46° field of view compared to just 23.5° for the iO. Of course, the iO glasses are designed to be unobtrusive, allowing them to be worn all day. The GT are all about the immersive experience.

The RayNeo GT Max creates a larger display with three selectable sizes – 227”, 267” and 307”. The latter corresponds to a wide 59° field of view. The Max are a bit heavier than the regular GT, weighing 78g and 68g, respectively.

There is dedicated hardware for 3DoF tracking, which gives the wearer three modes: Follow Mode (the display is fixed in your field of view), Pinned Mode (it fixes the display in 3D space like a virtual monitor) and Steady Mode (this is like image stabilization and smooths out bumps while you move or if you are in a bus, train or plane).

The GT Max glasses are the first AR glasses to support Dolby Vision content using the new RayNeo Pocket TV Pro. And if you are watching SDR video, there is an AI-powered SDR-to-HDR feature.

Speaking of the Pocket TV Pro, this is basically Android on a stick. Normally, the RayNeo glasses can be plugged directly into a smartphone, laptop or any other device that can do video out over USB-C. The Pocket TV is for people who prefer to use a dedicated device to power the glasses instead.

The remote-shaped Pocket TV Pro is powered by the Amlogic S905X5M-J chipset with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There is a microSD slot (for cards up to 1TB) if you want to carry your media with you. The Pocket has a 6,500mAh battery, which can power itself and the glasses for 5.5 hours of streaming. It also does the SDR-to-HDR conversion we mentioned above.

The RayNeo iO Smart Glasses and the RayNeo GT series glasses will become available on September 4. The pricing is still to be announced. The iO glasses will come in Polar Night (Dark Grey) and Dune (Gold). Both GT glasses support official custom prescription lens inserts, the GT Max also comes in three physical Interpupillary Distance (IPD) sizes (Size S: under 64mm, Size M: 64–67mm, Size L: above 67mm).

The new glasses will be available on RayNeo.com and on Amazon. They will also be demoed at the upcoming IFA conference (September 4-8).
