Xiaomi’s Redmi Pad 2 9.7 first surfaced in March, and now it’s become official, as it was listed by the company on its websites for Malaysia and Singapore.

The new tablet comes with a 9.7-inch LCD screen with 2048×1280 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 600-nit peak brightness, and it’s powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 4G chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage.

On the rear there’s an 8MP camera, and on the front a 5MP snapper. The tablet has a 7,600 mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging. In the aforementioned markets it ships with a 15W charger, though if it ever reaches Europe that will definitely be removed.

The Redmi Pad 2 9.7 runs HyperOS 3. It measures 226.51 x 147.97 x 7.4 mm and weighs 406g. It’s available in Silver and Graphite Gray, and there are two options: Wi-Fi-only or Wi-Fi+4G. The former starts at SGD 229 ($179) and the latter at SGD 269 ($211) in Singapore. Over in Malaysia both versions just have a placeholder price right now.
