The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 motorcycle might soon launch in India. While its official launch date is yet to be announced, the adventure bike is likely to go on sale in September, 2026. It will be based on the RE Scram 440 and will sit above the RE Scram 440 and below the RE Himalayan 450 in the company’s product lineup.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 – What to Expect?

Starting with the engine, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is expected to be offered with a 443cc, single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine, borrowed from the Scram 440. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox, this motor pushes out a maximum power of 25.4PS and 34Nm of torque.

For performing suspension duties, the bike is likely to use conventional telescopic fork and a monoshock at the rear. Braking power will come from the front and rear disc brakes, assisted by dual-channel ABS (antilock braking system) with switchable rear ABS.

The bike will ride on a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheels. Similar to the Himalayan 450, the new RE Himalayan 440 could be offered with a TFT console supporting turn-by-turn navigation and map mirroring support.

With an expected price of around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 will come as an affordable alternative to the RE Himalayan 450. The new adventure motorcycle is expected to appeal to riders looking for a more conventional riding experience, rugged styling, lesser electronic features and strong low-end torque.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Global Debut Soon

In other developments, Royal Enfield is currently testing the RE Himalayan 750, which is expected to make its global debut at EICMA 2026. It’s likely to feature a new 750cc, air and oil-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank layout. Its output is likely to be around 55PS and 60Nm.

Other expected highlights include revised header pipes, an upswept exhaust, a new TFT console with smartphone connectivity and navigation, cruise control, multiple riding modes and a new tubular chassis.
