There will be a heavy shower of discounts and benefits in the coming months for those planning to buy a new SUV. Several carmakers are offering attractive discounts to increase footfall to their showrooms ahead of the upcoming Diwali festive season. Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, is also offering benefits across its product range, including the Maruti Grand Vitara.

The Grand Vitara lineup is available in the price range of Rs 10.77 lakh – Rs 19.77 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Buyers can currently avail total benefits of up to Rs 2.70 lakh, including a zero road tax of up to Rs 1.85 lakh, an exchange bonus of Rs 75,000 or scrappage benefit of Rs 45,000, an upgrade bonus of Rs 30,000 and a corporate benefit of Rs 10,000 along with a 5-year warranty.
It’s important to note that customers can’t combine the Rs 75,000 exchange bonus with the Rs 45,000 scrappage bonus, as these are alternative benefits. The upgrade bonus might also have eligibility conditions, while the exact exchange amount varies with the age of the vehicle. Furthermore, road-tax savings depending on the state or city.
Engine Options & Mileage
The Maruti Grand Vitara is available with the 103bhp, 1.5-litre K15C petrol mild-hybrid and 92bhp, 1.5-litre, three-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine paired to a 72bhp, electric motor. The strong hybrid powertrain offers a combined power of 115bhp and comes paired to an e-CVT gearbox. Maruti Suzuki claims that the Grand Vitara hybrid offers a fuel efficiency of 27.97kmpl.
The petrol mild-hybrid engine is offered with 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox options. An AWD drivetrain system is exclusively available with the top-end mild-hybrid manual variants. The Maruti Grand Vitara mild-hybrid powertrain delivers a claimed mileage of 21.11kmpl for the manual variants, 20.58kmpl for the automatic variants and 19.38kmpl for the manual AWD variant.
