The Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG is now on sale in India. The factory-fitted CNG kit is available in four trims – MX Edge, RevX Edge (O), AX5 and RevX A – priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, Rs 10.79 lakh, Rs 11.19 lakh and Rs 12.27 lakh, respectively (all, ex-showroom).

Booking and deliveries of the 3XO CNG are slated to commence on October 20, 2026. With this addition, the XUV 3XO SUV lineup now available four powertrain options – turbo-petrol, diesel, CNG and electric.

Dual-Tank Setup

The Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG features a 1.2-litre MPFI (multi-point fuel injection) turbo petrol engine paired with a factory-fitted CNG kit.  Interestingly, the CNG version delivers a maximum power of 111bhp and 200Nm of torque, matching the figures of the petrol-only version.

To achieve these outputs, Mahindra has optimized the engine’s turbocharger calibration and ECU (engine control unit) mapping. The XUV 3XO CNG is offered exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The SUV delivers a claimed mileage of 24.7km/kg. The Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG does not compromise on boot space, thanks to its dual-tank setup. The SUV offers a luggage area of 270-litres, while the spare wheel is mounted underneath the body.

Design Highlights

In terms of design, the XUV 3XO CNG is identical to its ICE counterpart, except for a ‘ZNG’ badge on the tailgate. The SUV retains features such as LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, a body-coloured grille, 16-inch alloy wheels and connected LED taillamps.

Interior & Features

The interior layout and features of the CNG version are similar to the regular petrol and diesel models. However, the feature list varies depending on the variant. Key highlights include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch driver’s display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, Dolby Atmos and black leatherette seats. Safety features include six airbags, Isofix child seat mounts, electronic stability control and more.
