Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra’s battery capacity could disappoint you

Samsung is expected to be launching the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra alongside the Galaxy Tab S12+ later this year (possibly in September, which is when its predecessor got official in 2025).

The device will allegedly have the exact same battery capacity as the Tab S11 Ultra, according to a new report. Unfortunately, Samsung has decided not to go past 11,600 mAh for whatever reason. Since it’s literally the same battery pack, it’s also very likely to top out at 45W wired charging capacity, just like the S11 Ultra.

Interestingly, the Galaxy Tab S12+ is said to come with a bigger battery than the Tab S10+ it’s replacing (Samsung is launching a ‘vanilla’ Galaxy S tablet and a Plus model alternatively each year, so there was no Galaxy Tab S11+).

The same source also claims both the Tab S12 Ultra and the Tab S12+ would retain their predecessors’ screen sizes, so 14.6″ and 12.4″, respectively. They are expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC. Both the Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra will have a 12MP front camera, and they should be launching with Android 17 on board, complete with Samsung’s own One UI 9 on top.
