CAD-based renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, now reportedly renamed Galaxy Z Fold8, revealed its design back in March. However, we recently saw a dummy unit of the Fold8 in a hands-on video, which gave us a better look at the wide foldable. The smartphone was also spotted in the wild, and now we are looking at more images, showing the dummy units of the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra (previously called Fold8) side-by-side.
These images don’t reveal anything new and only show how both foldables stack up in terms of design. The taller phone, previously called Fold8 and now reportedly renamed Fold8 Ultra, features a triple-camera system on the rear. The shorter phone, called Fold8, sports a dual-camera setup on the rear but packs a wider folding screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio.

It’s worth noting that while the rear panels of both smartphones appear whitish, images shared by the same source, Ice Universe, in a different X post show both in blue. It’s unclear whether the two are different colors or whether blue appears differently under different lighting conditions.

In related news, tipster Ice Universe revealed that the wide Galaxy Z Fold8 will pack a 4,800 mAh battery with 45W charging support, weigh 201 g, and feature a new 50MP camera with native support for 24MP mode.
Last week, Ice Universe claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra’s display creases will be as minimal as the Oppo Find N6’s.
