Samsung will introduce a new member of the Galaxy S26 family on Thursday next week (August 27) during its “Galaxy Event August 2026”, which will be livestreamed on Samsung.com and on its YouTube channel. The event starts at noon 12pm UTC.
While the company doesn’t name it explicitly, this can be no other model than the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE. Unfortunately, the company doesn’t offer any official details for the new FE.
We’ve seen a leaked EPREL label that revealed an A rating for energy efficiency, another A for drop resistance but a C for repairability. The battery is rated for 1,200 charge cycles and can power the phone for 50 hours on a charge (compared to 2,000 cycles and 42:37h endurance for the S25 FE). The phone is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance.

Not that this counts as official info, of course. We expect that the upgrade to the Exynos 2500 will be the biggest change this generation – this was all but confirmed by the Google Play Console. For more unofficial details, check out this mega leak – it contains specs and plenty of leaked images showing the S26 FE.
Check back with us next Thursday – we’ll link the livestream and report on everything that’s new with the Galaxy S26 FE.
