It’s only been a few months since Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 series, yet leaks about the company’s next-generation Galaxy S27 lineup have already begun to surface. A new leak has now revealed the type of storage the upcoming lineup is expected to feature.
According to a tipster, Samsung is expected to adopt the new UFS 5.0 storage for the Galaxy S27 lineup, although the upgrade may be limited to select models.

Samsung’s upcoming lineup is rumored to include the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, a new Galaxy S27 Pro, and the Galaxy S27 Ultra. It’s likely that Samsung could reserve UFS 5.0 storage for the Pro and Ultra variants.
The UFS 5.0 standard, announced in November last year, brings several improvements over UFS 4.0 and 4.1. It delivers double the sequential performance, reaching speeds of up to 10.8Gbps compared to 5.8Gbps on the previous generation.
