The upcoming Tata Sierra has been the talk of the town ever since its first appearance as a concept at the 2020 Auto Expo. The buzz around the SUV is now at the peak as it gets closer to its market launch. While several details have been officially revealed, a few are still under the wraps. Tata hasn’t yet announced the complete feature list of the Sierra’s base variant. However, here’s what we can expected from the most affordable trim of the SUV.
Tata Sierra Base Variant Features: Expectations
One of the latest teasers shows the Sierra’s interior with a dual screen setup, which is likely to be offered on the lower variants. The higher trims might exclusively be offered with a three screen layout that includes a touchscreen infotainment, a digital driver’s display and a dedicated front passenger display. Interestingly, the dual screen setup will have a conventional digital instrument cluster with a hooded binnacle.

The dual-screen setup will come with an Head-Up Display (HUD), which was missing on the model showcased with the triple screen setup. Features such as a two-spoke illuminated steering wheel with mounted controls, height adjustable driver’s seat, rear seat armrest with cupholders, reverse parking sensors, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and Isofix child mounts are likely to be parts of the standard equipment list.
Design Details
The Tata Sierra base variant will feature LED headlamps with DRLs, LED taillamps, flush door handles and steel wheels. The larger alloy wheels could be reserved for the higher trims. The lower variants might also be offered in monotone colour schemes, while dual-tone finishes could be exclusive to the top-end trims.
Expected Engine Options
According to reports, the new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine is likely to be reserved for the lower trims. The higher variants are expected to get the all-new 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines. The Tata Sierra EV, slated to arrive in early 2026, is likely to be based on the mid to higher trims.
